Mardi Gras Parade & Street Festival 2026 Brings Downtown El Centro to Life

Downtown El Centro came alive in full Mardi Gras spirit as the 2026 Mardi Gras Parade & Street Festival returned with color, music, and community energy.

On Saturday, February 21, 2026, residents and visitors gathered from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM to celebrate one of the Imperial Valley’s most anticipated annual traditions. The parade kicked off at 6:00 PM, showcasing vibrant entries, local organizations, businesses, and community groups that proudly represented the heart of our region.

A Celebration of Community & Culture

From festive beads and live music to dancing, food vendors, games, and a lively beer garden, this year’s event embodied what celebrating together truly looks like.

The street festival featured entertainment by Jordan & The LVB, creating a high-energy atmosphere that kept the celebration going throughout the evening. Families, business owners, community leaders, and visitors alike filled the streets, strengthening the sense of unity that defines Downtown El Centro.

A Strong Regional Partnership

The Imperial Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce proudly partnered with the City of El Centro and Los Vigilantes in supporting this year’s parade entries and business participation.

Events like Mardi Gras do more than entertain — they create meaningful economic opportunities for local vendors, restaurants, small businesses, and entrepreneurs. By working together, our regional partners continue to preserve cherished traditions while expanding opportunities for business visibility and community engagement across El Centro, Imperial, and Westmorland.

This collaboration reflects IVRCC’s commitment to strengthening regional connections and supporting economic vitality throughout the Imperial Valley.

New Parade Route & Expanded Experience

This year introduced a new parade route through Downtown El Centro, offering expanded viewing areas and enhanced accessibility for attendees. The refreshed layout helped maximize engagement for parade participants and festival vendors alike.
