2026 IVRCC Teacher Appreciation Recognizes Teachers and Staff Across the Imperial Valley

The Imperial Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce (IVRCC) continued one of its signature community initiatives with the 2026 Teacher Appreciation, bringing local businesses, organizations and volunteers together to recognize teachers and school staff throughout the Imperial Valley.

This year, IVRCC packed 2,500 appreciation bags filled with items contributed by participating businesses and organizations. School supplies, vouchers, gift cards, treats and other donated items were included as a way to welcome teachers and staff into another school year and thank them for the work they do for local students and families.

Bringing Teacher Appreciation to Local Schools

The appreciation was delivered directly to participating schools across the Imperial Valley, where IVRCC staff, volunteers and sponsors helped distribute the 2,500 bags to teachers and school staff.

These visits also gave participating sponsors an opportunity to be part of the distribution and personally connect with the school communities their contributions were supporting.

While each school visit looked a little different, the purpose remained the same: to recognize the teachers and staff members who serve Imperial Valley students every day.

Continuing the Celebration With Our Teacher Giveaway

Teacher Appreciation continued beyond the school distributions with the 2026 IVRCC Teacher Appreciation Instagram Giveaway, which was open to teachers throughout the Imperial Valley.

Five Imperial Valley teachers were randomly selected to each receive a $200 gift card, providing another opportunity to recognize local teachers as the new school year got underway.

Made Possible by Our Business Community

The 2026 Teacher Appreciation initiative was made possible through businesses and organizations that contributed sponsorships, donated items, vouchers, gift cards, school supplies, meals and other resources.

BHE Renewables supported the initiative as the Presenting Sponsor for the Dream Classroom Giveaway, while Sun Community participated as the Exclusive Advocate Sponsor.

Our Partner Sponsors included Victoria Homes, Walter Clark Legal Group, Horace Mann | Alex Maeda III, Corazo Credit Union, Raising Cane’s and SoCalGas. Our Supporter Sponsors were Johny’s Burritos, Hart Insurance Center and RAW Cycling Studio, with Burgers and Beer serving as the Meal Sponsor.

IVRCC also thanks the volunteers who helped prepare the 2,500 bags and everyone who assisted throughout the distribution process.

Connecting Our Business and School Communities

Teacher Appreciation is more than the distribution of bags. As one of IVRCC’s signature initiatives, it creates an opportunity for businesses and organizations to directly support the teachers and staff serving local schools.

That connection is an important part of IVRCC’s regional work. When businesses invest their time and resources back into the communities they serve, that support reaches local schools, families and the people helping prepare the next generation of the Imperial Valley.

As the school year continues, IVRCC extends its appreciation to every teacher and staff member for the work they do each day for Imperial Valley students and school communities.
