2023-2025
Sher Cowie
After two impactful years as President of the Imperial Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce, Sher Cowie reflected proudly on the milestones achieved during her term.
She said “I’ve had the honor of facilitating numerous ribbon cuttings, mixers, and signature events, but the most memorable moments were always those just before a ribbon cutting—when a new business owner stands with their family, employees, and community, feeling nervous, excited, and deeply proud. I’ve seen tears, joy, and the real meaning of hard work paying off.”

Cowie entered her presidency with goals of increasing collaboration and strengthening the Chamber’s legislative advocacy. Under her leadership, the Chamber co-hosted ribbon cuttings with the Brawley Chamber of Commerce, signed onto numerous letters of support and opposition, launched quarterly legislative events including a 2024 Candidate Forum and Meet & Greet, and supported the District Attorney's efforts to combat commercial theft with surveys and community engagement.

Sher thanked all of the people and organizations she worked including her amazing staff and fellow board members. “The knowledge, friendships, and lessons I’ve gained are irreplaceable."
